Did you know that sometimes you’re actually consulting instead of coaching? If we as coaches could really get the whole distinction between coaching and consulting, and approach it with intention and strategy, it would solve a lot of our problems. One of the biggest frustrations I've heard from teachers over the years is not feeling valued as professionals. Knowing the distinction between coaching and consulting allows us to choose intentionally how to provide what is needed for our educators, many times pulling out their own expertise. How could anyone not feel like a professional in that kind of environment? Listen to this episode to be able to intentionally choose when you are coaching and when you are consulting to empower your educators to stay and thrive.
